Bharat Tewarie, MD, MBA
CEO & Co-Founder
Dr. Bharat Tewarie is the CEO and Co-founder of TMS Global N.V. and has deep experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors in the USA and Europe.
Following his medical doctor (MD) training and an MBA in the Netherlands, he has assumed senior executive roles at multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms such as Boehringer Ingelheim, Roche, Serono International, EMD Serono, Merck Serono, UCB, and various emerging biotech and digital health companies.
From 2015 to 2019, Bharat held the position of Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, as well as a member of the Executive Committee at UCB in Brussels, Belgium. In January 2020, he established Boston BioPharma Consultants, offering commercial consultancy to leaders in the BioPharma and medical device industries, and providing high-impact leadership as interim CEO during significant transformations. In June 2021, he joined the Board of Directors at Aveta Biomics as an independent member and became the CEO of ViroCarb Inc.
Since 2020, Dr. Tewarie has been mentoring CEOs of biotech and digital technology firms through the Endless Frontiers Lab Program at New York University’s Stern School of Business. Bharat has been chairing the New England Chapter of the Netherland-America Foundation (NAF) since January 2023, where he actively works with local committee members, state organizations, and businesses to enhance NAF initiatives in the New England area. Additionally, he serves on the NAF Board of Directors.
